SM North Edsa Bags Sale 2011

I just wanted to share that there is a sale at the bags section 2nd floor department store at SM North Edsa main building. You can save up to 50% off on bags. I tried to look around and found great buys.

The brand of the bags that are on sale are Secosana, Kimbel, Heart Strings, etc. There are many shoppers but there are only few at cashier lane. At SM the block, there are also some store that offer discounts like Kickers with 50% off.

If you are going to SM North Edsa, it is good to drop by at The block and take a good look at their big Christmas tree made up of Lego toys.

Pre-Holiday Sale at Ever Gotesco Grand Central in Caloocan 2011

As we approach the Christmas season, most of us are busy with Christmas shopping and preparing for events. Yesterday when I dropped by at Ever Gotesco mall at Caloocan City, I saw their banner that there is a Pre-holiday sale from November 18, 19 and 21.

This mall is old but you can still find good buys inside. There are many branded sale items that can also be found in other popular malls like SM and Landmark although some of their products are old stocks. I use to shop in nearby malls like SM North Edsa, Trinoma, Ever Gotesco Grand Cetral, Wallmart and Uniwide Sales. The prices for sale at Ever Gotesco Grande Central are competitive and  really cheap.

Inside Ever Gotesco Grand Central where you can buy cheap items:

  • Men’s Clothing, shoes, cheap items place, music booth, beauty section – 2nd Floor department Store
  • Women’s Clothing, children wear, baby products – 3rd Floor department store
  • Home and furniture- 4th Floor department store
  • Vast Furniture on sale – Homeworks at the 3rd floor
  • CDRking at the 2nd floor
  • Cheap Tiangge booths can de found at the ground floor, second floor and 3rd floor.

One of the electronic appliances that I plan to buy is the home theater. My husband and I are still waiting for the turnover of our house and lot. Nowadays, minimalist is the modern approach in interior designing. I like to apply minimalist design in some parts of the house to save some space. Living and family room would be minimalist. With minimalist design in the family room, the home theater should be simplified.

Christmas Gift Shopping Tips

People are now getting busy with Christmas preparation such as events and shopping. One of my favorite part of Christmas preparation is Christmas shopping.

My Christmas Gift Shopping Tips

  • Plan.
  • Create a gift  list with the names and budget for each gift.
  • Budget. You have to follow your budget so you can buy as many gifts as you want and you can have savings before the end of the year.
  • Search and canvass before you buy. You can search and canvass the stuff online or you can do the traditional store hopping and price haggling at tiange/ bazaar.
  • Bring a small bottle of water, biscuit and candy before shopping. Surely you will be thirsty or hungry when you do Christmas shopping. It will help you energize and lessen the time used when dining at a restaurant or food stop.
  •  If you will be shopping on sale with big discounts, start in the morning. If it is midnight sale then start shopping early as you can. If you shop late, items left may not be as good as the first batch on sale.
  • Do not forget to buy gifts for your parents.

Hair fall experience

I started to notice hair fall at the age of 28. The hair fall was not too many but I was alarmed why it happened. Based on my observation, I experience hair fall when I don’t have enough sleep and rest, stress and not eating healthy. Using different shampoos or conditioners and shampooing everyday may also lead to hair fall . Before I have a thick black, healthy-looking hair but now my hair is not as healthy and thick as before.

The best way to bring back my healthy-looking hair that I think is to keep my body healthy. I am afraid that hair fall can eventually lead to worst hair loss. As early as possible, it is better to do something better now to keep a healthy hair and body. As a woman, it is important to have a beautiful healthy hair. If there is a serious hair loss, we should consult the expert with the  hair loss treatments for women.

In my case, I think hair fall was caused by the chemicals from the shampoo that I have used before. Stress and lack of sleep are also other causes. Good thing that there are several treatments and natural products to use as an alternative to the old shampoo that I used.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 3: Who wins?

The long wait is over for the 12-rounds boxing for welterweight division of Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez. This will be the third encounter of Pacquiao versus Marquez in the boxing ring. Their first encounter was year 2004 for  For WBA (Super) and IBF World Featherweight Titles which led to Marquez down in the opening round and third knockdown but yet he rose to his feet. Their second encounter was year 2008 for WBC world super featherweight title . It was a split decision victory of Pacquiao over Marquez.

Watch the 12-action packed rounds between the two of this era’s top pound for pound fighters on November 12, Saturday 9Pm ET ( November 13, 9AM in Philippine Time)/ 6PM PT. The event will happen at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Let us find out who will win in this much awaited boxing fight of the year.

The new 7 wonders of nature 2011 winners announcement

At exactly 11:11:11 GMT (7:11:11 PM, Manila Time), November 11, 2011 (11/11/11), the voting time was closed for the new 7 wonders of nature. There are 28 finalist by which Puerto Prinsesa Underground River (PPUR) from our beloved country is also included.

According to the new7wonders.com when I visited to check, preliminary results will be announce at 7:07PM GMT or 3:07 Manila time. I am so excited to see if the seven votes that I cast will win. Importantly, I hope that Puerto Prinsesa Underground River will be one of the winners in the new 7 wonders of nature.

My vote for the 7 new wonders of Nature 2011

Voting for the new 7 wonders of nature will be ending tomorrow, November 11 so you better cast your vote now. I am encouraging everyone to please include Puerto Prinsesa Underground river as one of your votes in the new 7 wonders of nature.

Last November 8, I already voted my picks for the new 7 wonders of nature. There are 28 finalists from different countries. It was so hard to choose for the best 7 because most entries are beautiful and amazing. I just pick the best 7 that I think unique and incomparable.

The new 7 wonders of nature that I voted:

  1. Puerto Prinsesa Underground River (Philippines). The underground river is reputed to be the world’s longest. Of course this is my top choice. Philippines is where I came from and I love my country. It is truly amazing and unique. I have watched the photo videos of Puerto Prinsesa underground river and all I can say is WOW.

  2. Amazon Rainforest (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Venezuela). The Amazon represents over half of the planet’s remaining rainforests and comprises the largest and most species-rich tract of tropical rainforest in the world.

    The planet’s largest coral reef system, with some 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for 2,600 km over an area of approximately 344,400 square km. It is the biggest single structure made by living creatures and can be seen from outer space.

  4. Iguazu Falls (Argentina, Brazil). One of the world’s largest waterfalls.They extend over 2,700 m (nearly 2 miles)  in a semi-circular shape. The shape is a wonder for me.

  5. Grand Canyon (USA). This is a wonder for me because it is created by the Colorado River over a period of 6 million years. It is 446 km long, ranges in width from 6 to 29 km and attains a depth of more than 1.6 km. Also, during prehistory, the area was inhabited by Native Americans who built settlements within the canyon and its many caves.

  6. Vesuvius (Italy). It is the only volcano on the European mainland to have erupted within the last hundred years, although it is not currently erupting. What makes me wonder is that it is regarded as one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world.

  7. Jeita Grotto (Lebanon).The cathedral-like vaults full of various sizes, colors and shapes of stalactites and stalagmites, majestic curtains and fantastic rock formations in the compound of crystallized cave makes me truly wonder.
