Traffic sources is important for a website to be  known and visited by people searching on the web. There are different traffic sources that a website can have such as search engines, social networking and other referrals.

If you have a new website, it is recommended to add the URL of your website to the main search engines which are google, bing and yahoo.  You can also submit the url to Dmoz which is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web.

Creating blog sites are now getting popular. With blog, the fresh and new information can be easily be uploaded and shared on the web. Some are using their blog to monetize and earn.

But, how can a blog or a website owner monetize their site?

Lighting is one of the very important things in house design and construction. In Feng Shui, it is believed that adequate lighting is auspicious in the house. Whether the house have natural lighting or electrical lighting, it should have the right amount of lighting.

Modern house design comes also with modern contemporary lighting. It is a great adaptation in house living nowadays to promote better lighting with good designs. Proper lighting should not only be found inside the house but it should also be found at contemporary outdoor lighting. The photo in the left above is a Hubbardton Forge Outdoor bollard with glass options. This is an excellent lighting in the garden that gives a beautiful and contemporary lighting at night.  This fixture is hand-made in Vermont. Hand-made fixture are said to be the best in quality and durability. Krispy Kreme Mango Kruffin and brewed coffee

I love Krispy Kreme! Yum! One beautiful noon day I decided to give myself a day out with a pampering full body spa at Urban escape then went to Krispy Kreme to eat a light  snack. I love Krispy Kreme doughnuts but I do not like eating too much sweets so I order something different with not so sweet taste I think.

It was a Mango Kruffin and brewed coffee that I ordered. The taste is so perfect with my taste bud. The Mango Kruffin is not so sweet and so heavenly yummy 🙂 . It is an American-style handmade muffins filled with deliciously ripe Mango that is also perfect this summer season. On my next drop at Krispy Kreme, I plan to buy their Ham and Cheese Pull Apart baked creations which looks so delicious too. I can’t wait for weekend. I am craving now to try out Ham and Cheese :).

Steps to connect your domain and web host

Some people are wondering on how to connect domain and web host. The process of connecting your domain and web host depends on where you bought the domain. There are companies that when you bought a domain and web host together  they will be the one to connect the domain and web host. But what if you bought a domain from a different company and you wanted to have web hosting in another company? You will have to connect manually your domain and webhost.

Important thing you need before connecting your domain and web host: Know The name servers that your web hosting company provided you with. They can be found usually in the welcome email after you bought the web hosting or you can just simply request for it.

Steps to connect your domain and web host

  1. Login to your domain register’s website.
  2. Go to domain management or manage domain.
  3. Under nameservers, go to set name servers or change name servers.  If you are using goddady as domain register’s website then choose ” I have specific nameservers for my domains”.
  4. Provide your web hosting name servers at name server 1 and name server 2. Usually there is  default name server 1 and name server 2 make sure to change it to your web hosting name servers.
  5. Click save.

After changing the name servers, you have to wait for the DNS propagation period. The DNS propagation period varies and normally it would take 12-24 hours. The default page that you can view is temporarily pointing to your domain register’s website but after the propagation is complete it will be pointing to your web host. In my experience, the time it takes for the DNS propagation completed was about four hours.

After the DNS propagation, it is now your turn to create and update your website. I remember when I started creating a website, I used to watch videos on how to build a website.

Holy week 2012 schedule dates

Holy week is the last week of lent and the week before Easter in Christianity. The holy week covers the religious holidays of Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday), Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. These are the days when Catholic people  go to sacred places like church, grotto and other sanctuaries for repentance.

When is Holy week 2012 schedule dates?

The Holy week 2012 schedule date begins on Palm Sunday which falls on April 1, 2012 which commemorates the Passion of Christ.  It ends on Holy Saturday 2012, which falls on April 7, 2012.

Let us make the holy week as time for kindness, repentance and think of good deeds that can be shared to our fellowmen.

Since I am currently doing some changes and improvement on my sites, I will be sharing a brief  about google page layout algorithm improvement. The recommendation of google page layout algorithm improvement will surely be helpful in providing quality search results for the users in looking for a quality content.

Google Page Layout algorithm imnprovement:

  • When users click on the search results, content should be easily visible.
  • Websites or blog having top of the page with ads to an excessive degree should improve their site by decreasing their ads or re-arranging their position on the page.
  • Algorithmic change does not affect sites who place ads above-the-fold to a normal degree.
  •  Overall, publishers should continue to be to focus on delivering the best possible user experience on their  websites and not to focus on specific algorithm tweaks.

Train crash killed 50 and injured hundreds at Argentina, Buenos Aires station

Fifty people were killed and a hundred more were injured after a commuter train plowed into a barrier at a Buenos Aires station, Argentina (Wednesday,Feb.22,2012). This is considered as among the worst in Argentina’s history reported by Telam (source: CNN). Due to this incident, Argentina’s president declared a two-day mourning period. President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner declared a statement about the mourning period saying “The government and people of Argentina give their solidarity and weigh the pain felt by the families of the victims,”.

The train crash injured 676 people. Local hospitals were flooded by family members and  crowd for news of missing loved ones. According to  the transportation minister, the train was driven  by 28-year-old driver and has a good record. Transportation Secretary Juan Pablo Schiavi said authorities believed there were problems with the train’s brakes that caused it to strike into a barrier at the station.

OLast February 11, 2012, legendary pop singer Whitney Houston was found dead  at a Beverly Hills, California, hotel. A member of her staff found Whitney unconscious in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton hotel as preparations were under way for the Grammy Awards. . She was only 48 years old.
