How to uninstall a program in Windows 8?

I started using windows 8 recently and trying to get a grasp of it. When I downloaded an important program and installed it in my computer I was surprised that along with the installation an extra program was also installed. The lucky leap program was installed without my permission. I find it very annoying because every time I open a webpage in google chrome, several ads are showing up at the side and bottom page.

The best solution is to uninstall it.  Since Windows 8 is new to me, I do not know how to uninstall a program in Windows 8.  Then I figure it out. First you go to Continue reading →

Picnik (online photo-editing site) is closing

Picnik is an online photo-editing site where you can simply upload and easily edit your pictures with cool features. I have been using picnik to edit some of the photos that I posted in my site and blogs. It was so easy to do photo-editing.

Today I received an email that Picnik is closing. They announced that Picnik will be closing on April 19, 2012. They have launched a new feature, Picnik Takeout, that easily downloads your photos to your desktop in convenient zip files. You may also elect to copy your photos to Google+ where you can store and share your creations. You may request your photos at any time and use this handy tool as many times as you like until the closing date of April 19, 2012.

The good news that they announced is that Picnik Premium is now free for everyone like the Touch-up, Textures, Advanced, and more are all free for you to use. This is a way of their thanks and to express their gratitude for over the past 5 years support. You can enjoy this until the closing date of April 19, 2012.

Free PDF editor, Image Writer and PDF tools

Last year, my close friend was searching for a free PDF editor and to help her I do some research online. I have learned that there is an available free PDF editor, Image writer and PDF tools online so I downloaded it.

Before I share it to my close friend, I install and use it first to make sure that it is working appropriately. I have used it and this PDF tool is working fine. It is free and easy to use. My husband also told me that sometimes they also use it in their office.
