WordPress just recently released the latest update which is WordPress 3.6.1 version. According to the maintenance and security release, the 3.6.1. Version 3.6.1 addressed some security issues and fixed 13 bugs.
It introduced the new default theme puts focus on your content with a colorful, single-column design made for media-rich blogging. It is inspired by modern art, Twenty Thirteen features quirky details, beautiful typography, and bold, high-contrast colors — all with a flexible layout that looks great on any device, big or small.
Just like in the previous update in this WordPress version 3.6.1 update, it improved the explore revisions, autosaves, and better post locking. Also, the support for audio and video, shortcode improvements, revision control, etc.
